Daily Schedule
At Careview Family Daycare, our daily schedule is thoughtfully designed to balance structure with flexibility, ensuring every child has the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in a nurturing environment.
A Day of Fun & Learning
Morning circle
09:00 am
Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day. Activities at morning meeting include children’s jobs, pledge of allegiance, calendar, weather, introduction of new letters and numbers of the week and introduce the days activities.
Child choice time
9:00 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.
A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.
Clean up time
9:25 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
All children work together to clean up our class room.
Story time
10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The teacher reads a story to the class relative to the current curriculum.
Snack time
11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
Our school has a peanut free policy. Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. Snacks include Goldfish, Cheez-its, Ritz, Saltines, pretzels or graham crackers. Water is provided with the snack.
Arrivals and Free Play
8:00 am – 9:00 am
Children settle in, explore toys and activities, and begin their day with engaging, independent play.
Breakfast and Morning Routine
9:00 am – 10:00 am
We enjoy a nutritious breakfast, followed by clean-up, diaper changes, and bathroom breaks.
Arts and Crafts
10:00 am – 10:30 am
Children express their creativity through hands-on art projects and craft activities.
Outdoor Play
10:30 am – 11:00 am
We head to the field or playground for gross motor games, running, and free exploration outdoors.
Math and Building Activities
11:00 am – 11:30 am
Children engage with math manipulatives, blocks, and Legos, developing problem-solving and motor skills.
Lunch
11:30 am – 12:00 pm
Home-cooked meals are served, encouraging healthy eating habits and social interaction during mealtime.
Story Time and Transition
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm
After lunch, we read engaging stories, wash hands, and prepare for quiet time.
Nap Time
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Children rest and recharge in a calm, soothing environment.
Snack Time and Bathroom Breaks
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm
We enjoy a nutritious snack and prepare for our final outdoor activities of the day.
Outdoor Playground Time
3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Children wind down their day with outdoor play, interacting with peers and enjoying the fresh air.
